Serrated Edge

So many times Intent Design is hired to see future potential in something that already exists. Our process of creation when it comes to renovation is a bit different than that of new construction. Our goal is to create a marriage of sorts between the old and the new. This was achieved in several ways from the unique and jagged roof edges, to the exterior stucco color, even the window style that was used. This initial layout was a rat maze so we removed walls, doors, and ceilings to create a more contemporary feel and flow. The sloped ceilings in the kitchen and living room give an added dynamic of movement throughout the residence. This was achieved by working with new and old roof lines as we were trying to preserve what was already there.
